Principal's Message

We’d like to welcome you - new and returning families and students - to Rancho San Joaquin Middle School. Our staff is anticipating another successful year, and we are excited to connect with each of you. We feel fortunate to be part of a staff and community that values the whole student, academics coupled with character development, and that works as a team to help students reach their full potential.

We hope everyone enjoys their days at Rancho! Middle school has a stigma of being an awkward time. We hope that it is not only memorable, but a time to explore new passions and grow as an individual.  It is important to remember that no one’s “fun” should infringe upon the “basic rights” of all students: to feel and be safe while on campus and to learn in an environment that is free from distractions. Good decision making and appropriate behaviors are equally important to note-taking and studying for tests for every student to enjoy a well rounded and successful experience.

We encourage all students to embody our school-wide Rancho “RULES”:

R - Respect

U - Unwavering Integrity

L - Leadership

E - Effort

S - Social Responsibility

We encourage parents take an active role in your child’s personal and academic growth throughout the year. With help from you at home, it is our hope that students emulate the “RULES” character traits at school and in their personal lives.

We look forward to a fantastic year, and thank you in advance for supporting our efforts in making your child’s educational experience meaningful and successful! We are here for you - please feel free to contact us at any time.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Snowden
Principal

Make it a great day Rancho!
