  1. BUS 

Rancho is the only middle school in IUSD that has bus routes and roughly one-third of our students ride the bus to and/or from school each day.  You ‘ll need to contact the transportation department for details on bus passes and routes available: Click Here  

 

  1. BELL SCHEDULE 

You can find our bell schedule here.  Note: Students involved in Extended Day (0 Period) PE arrive to school at 7:30am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. 

 

  1. CALENDAR  

Rancho families receive weekly updates on Friday afternoon which may contain special information and upcoming dates.  You can always check our website for upcoming events by clicking here

 

  1. DRESS CODE 

Rancho does have a dress code. You can find it within the student planner and/or by clicking here

 

  1. BEHAVIOR 

Rancho uses PBIS to support positive choices on campus.  You can find information with the student planner as well as on our website.  Rancho’s PBIS “RULES” program is outlined here.  When students do not meet behavior expectations they may experience the corrective measures outlined here.  

 

  1. SUPPLIES 

Teachers will provide information regarding appropriate supplies for their class in the first weeks of school.  For the first few days students need only bring a folder, some paper, and a pen/pencil. 

 

  1. SPORTS 

Middle school students may partake in team sports competitions in two main ways:

  1. ADVISEMENT 

Advisement is a time for students to get connected to Rancho and the following take place through Advisement classes:  announcements, Rancho Network News (RNN), advisement challenges, spirit competitions, distributing/collecting materials. 

 

  1. TUTORIAL 

Tutorial is structured to provide students time with a teacher of choice (typically) to get extra help, work on projects, do homework, use a computer, read, or review for upcoming test (among other options).   Tutorial meets for 30 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday.  The "Tutorial Offerings" can be found by clicking here. 

 

  1. 1ST DAY FOR 7TH GRADERS 

On the 1st day of school 7th graders spend the majority of their day with their Advisement class and are introduced to all of Rancho and our PBIS program, Rancho RULES.  We cover behavior expectations in all areas of campus.  Students will also meet with all of their teachers on the first day.  No 8th graders are present on this day. 

 

  1. PE UNIFORMS AND LOCKERS 

Rancho does have PE uniforms available for purchase, as well as clothing guidelines if not purchasing Rancho PE clothes.  Students are expected to lock their valuables in PE lockers during the class period and should have a lock specifically for this purpose each day. 

 

  1. LUNCH ACCOUNTS

  1. "FRONT OF LINE" AT LUNCH 

Students may get a "front of the line" opportunity based on the first letter of their last name.  Students must show their school ID card to go to the front of the line on these days:     A – D = Monday, E – H = Tuesday. I – L = Wednesday, M – R = Thursday, S – Z = Friday
